The first gate opened at 12:34pm on 11/24 EST. This gate revolved around the theme of "Nintendo" and consisted of five keys, where the last three keys were considered to be part of one group (they were named 3A, 3B, and 3C).

The morse code on the gate opening gif when translated gave "up up down down" which is the beginning of the konami code.

The date for this gate was discovered while the page was still under construction. Analysis of the image revealed that the date 11/24 was embedded into the door of Gate 1.
